Meaningful and Sustainable Gift Giving

Things are changing when it comes to gift giving. We all know how easy it is to get someone a gift card or basket, there are plenty to chose from. But we are seeing a shift to gifts that are a bit more meaningful -meaningful for both the person giving and the one receiving.

Recently, we teamed up with FAIRE. They approached us last year amidst the first wave of the pandemic, and asked us to curate a special gift set for their employees. "Our reasoning for sending our employees gift boxes was simple, we wanted our company to feel connected during the new shifts of working from home," explains Sarah, of FAIRE, "These new shifts had us looking for creative ways to have our company feel united and that they were not alone."

We are known for creating custom sustainable gift sets across many budgets, so we worked with Sarah and her team to find the best #workfromhome collection possible. Part of our pitch to them was a gift experience that has a giving moment. We have done these programs in the past, allowing companies to match employee donations across a selection of non-profit organizations that either match existing corporate social responsibility programs or align with company mission and culture.

This particular gift box was to highlight non-profit charities picked by our Employee Resource Groups using GUUD’s Giving Moment. Having partnered with GUUD, we were able to commit to our company culture, values, and well-being.

Through their internal teams they selected four non-profits to donate too; Black Girls Code, Transgender Law Center, Junior Achievement and the Malala Fund. All non-profits were chosen by employees and matched by the company. The gist set has a card with instructions to choose an organization to donate too, Faire providing a match and a QR code to facilitate the donation online and provide trackable metrics. The #WFH Giving Moment and the co-branded gift set was deemed a success and we look forward to what the future holds for our friends at Faire.
